After being teased in several renderings, spy shots and teasing videos, the 2015 MINI 5-door hatchback is officially announced, with the model coming in photos and in first videos.
The 2015 MINI 5-door hatchback will be hitting its dealerships next year in June, as the model hasn’t yet received its platform, but when it will arrive, the model will be priced $1,000 more than the three-door model.
The videos showing the 2015 MINI 5-door version are revealing a taller model with 0.4 inches and longer with 6.3 inches than the present model.
More than that, at the moment of its launch, the 2015 MINI 5-door hatchback will be offered in two versions, the base one, priced at $21,950, while the Cooper S hardtop costing $24,600.
The standard 2015 MINI 5-door version will be equipped with a 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder gasoline burner developing 134 horsepower and 170 lb-ft of torque.
The MINI Cooper S version will come instead with a higher 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbo, outputting a total of 189 horsepower and 207 lb-ft of torque.
