The Germans at BMW decided to reveal the DTM safety car based on the M4 Coupe. The new BMW M4 Coupe DTM safety car comes with a series of tweaks such as new carbon fiber front splitter, revised side skirts, a new rear diffuser and spoiler and a black front grille.
Larger alloy wheels are also offered as well as a titanium exhaust, emergency lights and the usual DTM livery.
Power is offered by the stock 3.0-liter six-cylinder unit producing 431 horsepower and 550 Nm of torque for a 0-100 km/h sprint in 4,1 seconds.
“Having decided to start the 2014 DTM season with a new challenger, in the form of the BMW M4 DTM, it was a logical step to have BMW M GmbH put together a BMW M4 Coupe DTM Safety Car,” says the company.
Inside, the special model got carbon fiber trim, Recaro racing seats, a special race communication system, roll cage and Schroth harnesses.
