For as long as the media allowed us, we have known that China is pretty adept at making cheap copies of pretty much anything.
The same thing was with cars, with the Asian country being the home to many lookalike vehicles from Volkswagen to Rolls-Royce.
And while the aspect of these cars might be breaking pretty much any copyright infringement laws, usually they are cheaper for a reason. The product quality is just abismal. But with the recent market boom of China, various brands are starting to manufacture products worthy for the international market.
Shifting its focus from copying cars to building originals, Qoros company say they are ready to take on the giant that is BMW. They recently announced plans to build a 5 Series rival. This is an ambitious task for the Chinese company on so many levels.
Not only do they not have the same experience like BMW, with the Qoros company being founded just 6 years ago, but also they lack the financial power and mass producing capabilities that a multi-national company like BMW has. To put it bluntly, they have their work cut out for them, and chances that Qoros will fail in their attempt to bring a true 5 Series rival to the market.
