The Germans at BMW officially priced the new i3 for the German market. Prior its world premiere in New York, Beijing and London, an event which will happen on July 29, BMW announces that the new i3 EV will be priced from €34,950.
Power is provided by an electric motor offering 170 horsepower and 250Nm of torque. Accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h takes 7,2 seconds with a total driving range of 160 kilometers.
The 22 kWh lithium-ion battery needs around eight hours to charge from a standard socket. Thanks to the official pricing details, we can now get a better overview of the German EV model which is scheduled to go on sale in November.
Other features worth mentioning include a MacPherson front suspension, 19-inch alloy wheels with 155/70 R19 tires, a carbon fiber reinforced plastic passenger cell and also the model’s perfect 50:50 weight distribution.
