The new M3 is the car that has been capturing the curiosity of every BMW fanatic over the last few months. Perhaps it’s also the aura of secrecy around this model that has helped build up the hype, but the latest details which have just been carefully revealed by the German manufacturer show us straight away where all the excitement for this new BMW M3 comes from.
Innovation is the key: M3 is one of a kind or, more likely, the pioneer of a new generation. This model will be the first BMW ever to combine a sport turbocharged straight-six engine and a dual-clutch transmission as the only option available, which will also be paired with seven speeds, 450 horsepower and 480lb/ft of torque.
This car will also boast electro-mechanical steering, electronic M differential and three-stage dynamic damper control, while the steel body is expected to include various aluminium inserts, which will reduce the weight greatly and improve the overall performance.
Surely more juicy details will be revealed about the M3 in the few months leading up to the official presentation, announced for March 2013 at the Geneva Motor Show. In the meanwhile rival models Audi RS5 and Mercedes-Benz C63 are advised: BMW is gearing up for the challenge.
