BMW to adopt laser technology in the future
The German engineers from BMW are currently developing a new technology to be used in the headlights of the models to come. We talk about an illumination system which uses laser, a technology which brings considerable advantages even in comparison with the LED lights. Even almost all the new models are equipped with LED lights, BMW wants to be one step ahead and works on a new laser technology.

According to the company, the light beam can produce an intensity even 1,000 times greater than the LED lights while it comes with no risks for animals or humans as the laser light is converted in a bright beam which is also quite efficient.
According to the manufacturer, the new laser technology is able to emit light waves of the same length which means it is monochromatic but also provides a greater intensity compared to the current LED lights.

“After LED technology, laser light is the next logical step in car light development. BMW engineers are currently already working on the introduction of laser light as a further pioneering technology for series production within a few years,” claim the German company.
