BMW will reveal the Z4 sDrive28i at New York
The Bavarians officially announced that the current BMW Z4 E89 will get a new propeller in range benefiting from TwinPower Turbo. The four-cylinder engine develops 245 horsepower, has a 2.0-liter displacement and it is already available in the engine range of the X1 SUV. A downsizing trend can be seen as the new BMW Z4 sDrive28i comes to replace the 3.0-liter six-cylinder unit that offers 258 horsepower.

From the list of features available for the new German four-cylinder unit we can note the Start/Stop system that helps the model to obtain a better fuel consumption but also the eight-speed automatic gearbox that handles the power.

All these features promise to deliver figures optimized by even 20%, a really proof that the new technology developed by the Germans from BMW is doing its job correctly. However, the BMW Z4 sDrive28i should sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in about 5,5 seconds while the top speed will be limited at 250 km/h. In terms of fuel consumption, a significant improvement will be seen.
