BMW Peugeot Citroen Electrification, this is the name of the latest agreement between BMW and the French people from PSA. They decided to join their forces in order to create hybrid components, and why not, we can assume that the financial situation was also a decisive reason.
By building together the hybrid systems both BMW and PSA will reduce the costs and probably will be able to share their knowledge and achieve new innovations. The new hybrid system will debut somewhere in 2014 and will be available, of course, for the BMW, Peugeot and Citroen eco-friendly vehicles.
The BMW Peugeot Citroen Electrification is not the first agreement made between the two groups, about five years ago the Germans and French people accepted to build together engines, units designed for the Mini sub-brand in BMW’s case. BMW’s Wolfgang Gullich together with PSA’s Jean Leflour are the people designed to take care about the new partnership.
