The hatchback version of the long-awaited BMW 1 Series was caught on streets during tests. BMW will offer both manual and automatic transmissions, a six-speed manual transmission is expected along with a dual-clutch automatic one. The EfficientDynamics system is expected to be part of the new 1 Series range expected for 2011, including the well-known start-stop system.
