More about the BMW Art Car by Jeff Koons
BMW presented its new Art Car at Centre Pompidou in Paris. BMW M3 GT2 is decorated by Jeff Koons and will compete in 24-hour race at Le Mans.
Jeff Koons unveiled alongside BMW the result of the 17th edition of the BMW Art Car project. The model was presented in front of 300 special guests from all around the world. The model race will run the 24 Hours of Le Mans on June 12 to 13, 2010. This time, the subject for the new Art Car is a BMW M3 GT2.
The basics of the collaboration between Koons and BMW have been determined in 2003, when he expressed a desire to create a model for the BMW Art Car project. His relationship with BMW began last more than two decades, when he driven a BMW model while he lived in Munich, the city where is situated the BMW Group. Koons is known also for his sincere appreciation of the cars. Earlier this year, Bono, the singer and the star of the U2 band, named him as one of an ideal artist to create a car design that make the world love back the cars. Video soon!
