BMW and MINI awarded by ADAC
The excellent results in all segments: MINI occupies first position in the small car segment, while BMW X3 and BMW X5 ranks first, respectively second in the SUV segment. ADAC, the German Automobile Club, is one of the most requested road assistance service in the world. In the last year the “Yellow Angels” (Gelber Engel) recorded over 2 million interventions. Based on this statistic, ADAC is building each year a study of reliability for the main models in the market (over 10 000 registered vehicles per year).
The study is applied to models with the production year between 2004 and 2009 and measures the number of failures caused by technical problems reported in 1000 registered car. Also there are indicated the most common problems depending on model and year of manufacture.
With the first position in two segments, the BMW and MINI models have obtained very good results. MINI was considered the most reliable car in the small car segment, while the first position in SUV’s segment were divided between BMW X3 and BMW X5. BMW 1 Series, BMW 3 Series and BMW 5 Series got also very good results.
