Rumors: BMW Z Spyder Stradale concept at Frankfurt
The dream project of Norbert Reithofer, a successor of Z8 called Z Spyder Stradale could be presented in concept version at the Frankfurt Motor Show, next year, the production version having some opportunities to begin in 2014.
Germans from BMW may create a successor for Z8 and the model might be called Z Spyeder Stradale. Spyder Stradale name comes from the 328 Mille Miglia model, which had a special version to carry that name and some voices say this project would be the “child of heart” by Norbert Reithofer.
In the first instance, those from BMW were working on this project for some time, but the financial crisis has tempered the development of the new models, especially when it comes to luxury roadsters with a high price. The future Z Spyder Stradale could be equipped with an aspirated V8 engine that is found on the current generation M3, either with a V8 twin-turbo equipping the future BMW M5.
