BMW Celebrates 1 million 1 Series units
Germans at BMW built 1,000,000 1 Series units. It started in production in 2005 and will be produced until 2011, after which it will be replaced by the second generation, which is codenamed F20. BMW celebrates the production of 1,000,000 1 Series units in its factories. The keys of the 1,000,000 unit will be handed to the owner at the Leipzig Motor Show this week, and the model is a three-door 118d.
BMW 1 Series Range
The production volume announced above is valid for all versions of bodywork that is sold BMW 1 Series, including the three-door hatchback, five-door hatchback, coupe and convertible. BMW 1 Series was introduced in 2004 and at that time was viewed with doubt by the public.
The production of 1 million units is a proof of the success of this model from BMW, the little model in the range of the manufacturer in Munich, which should put the critics at the time on thoughts. The success of 1 Series in terms of sales has changed the people at BMW in sales leaders in the premium segment. BMW factory in Leipzig has produced 662,000 units from the 1,000,000 units of the 1 Series ever built.

Well done guys. You are awesome! Any idea whether new 1 series will come to Singapore soon, as it is always out of stock and not sure whether BMW is still carrying the 118i series? Thanks.
