BMW and PSA Peugeot-Citroen engine’s deal continues

BMW and PSA Peugeot-Citroen will continue their cooperation in engines, following soon to release on the market a 2.0-liter gasoline engine that will equip both the 3 Series, Peugeot 508 and Citroen C5.

The connection at the engines level of the BMW Group and PSA Peugeot-Citroen will continue successfully also in the near future, when the French will release on the market the new 508 model which will replace in the range already old models such as 407 and 607.

According to informations coming from the French media, the current collaboration which includes the 1.6-liter unit available on the Citroen, Peugeot and Mini models is expected to rise, following to grow at a higher level. The two groups will jointly develop a turbocharged petrol 2.0 liter engine that will develop between 200 and 250 horsepower. Internal known as B48, the new petrol unit will provide the Valvetronic system of valve control, direct injection, the Stop&Start package and will be disposed transversely.
