AC Schnitzer presented the first images of their package for BMW X1 that will be present at the Geneva Motor Show in March. The tuners from AC Schnitzer, specialized in modification of BMW models have unveiled their new program for the X1. The model gets both aesthetic and suspension and engines modifications. BMW X1′s xDrive23d version is now developing 240 hp, while xDrive20d version offers 210 hp.
The changes made by the German tuners to the suspension are limited to a set of stronger springs and a reinforcement bar mounted between the front shock absorber pots. On the other hand, the aerodynamic modifications are numerous and include a new front bumper, an extension of rear skirt, a spoiler for the tailgate door, ventilation slots on the hood and many chromed elements.
The interior of the BMW X1 receives also the attention of the AC Schnitzer engineers. The model receives many carbon fiber elements, the gear lever is covered with leather, and customers can choose a version made of aluminum with an LCD display that shows the step. i-Drive’s control unit system is replaced with an aluminum wheel that has an design similar with the AC Schnitzer rims. The new tuning package for the BMW X1 will debut at the Geneva Motor Show in the German’s tuner stand.
