After the facelift operated on 3-Series Coupe and Convertible models, BMW has unveiled the facelift version of the X5 SUV. Scheduled to begin next month in Geneva, the new X5 comes with a number of aesthetic changes, a new range of turbo engines and automatic transmission with eight reports.
Stylistic changes to the front are subtle and consist in new lamp units, larger front vents and redesigned front and rear bumpers. The latter now features fewer black plastic areas specific of the off-road models, and several painted body color, which gives more sportiness. It also noted a new metal shield, and repositioned fog lamps, closer to the headlamps dominated by LED rings known as “Angel Eyes”. Hood and grille remained unchanged.
The rear spoiler get the same details from the front, is painted body color, while the discharge outlets received a trapezoidal shape and have been moved to margins. Brake lights also integrates the LED technology. Also, customers will have, besides the current range of exterior colors, also a few new shades: Deep Sea Blue, Sparkling Bronze and Platinum Gray.
