BMW may launch a series version of ActiveE until 2014

German manufacturer BMW could develop a production version of the ActiveE concept, which will rival the new Mercedes A-Klasse and Audi A1.

Bavarians from BMW will create a rival to A-Klasse alongside another model of comparable size by 2014. Most likely, the new model will belong to premium segment of the small class, as Audi A1 and the future Mercedes-Benz A-Klasse. New A-Klasse will debut in 2013 and BMW has a good chance to be the best of his rival at the time, due to the fact that the onset of the two models will take place at a minimum difference of time.

While entry into production of one of the two models was announced by BMW, the other model is expected to begin shortly after Vision EfficientDynamics will be launched. Vision EfficientDynamics concept will be built between 5000 and 10,000 units, and he will have the same drive train as that presented to the international debut of this innovative concept. BMW Vision EfficientDynamics develops 356 hp and 800 Nm thanks to two electric motors and turbodiesel engine that is equipped.
