BMW 135i, youngest Bavarian sports model, got, like his bigger brother 335i, some news for 2010. There is no more a novelty that BMW replaced the N54 engines with the N55 on x35i versions of the full range. But Bavarians make another official presentation, after the 335i version, the 135i version will be introduced.
The changes are not as deep as on the 335i, missing those special LEDs in front of the lamp units, the spoilers not inspired by the latest products and the grid does not received that dose of proeminention. The only elements that seem easy upgraded, are mirrors, with a marginal form changed.
Great novelty for the 1-Series range, in addition to engine, that we talked earlier, may be called the dual-clutch transmission with seven reports, DCT, which provides more dynamic feel. I6 3.0-liter turbo engine capable to develop 306 hp, work more efficiently, the Coupe version reaching 100 km/h in 5.2 seconds, 0.1 seconds faster than the previous version, and the average consumption is below 0,6 liters.
Inside, the only change is the new DCT transmission, with the new selector for the automatic versions. Bavarians haven’t insisted too much on this model, as can be seen, with larger plans for this range, in the near future will occur the BMW M1.
