In engine’s chapter, the new 3-Series Coupe and Convertible facelift versions will have two petrol engines, 328i and 335i. If the first unit have 3.0 liters and develops 230 horsepower, the 3.0 liter six-cylinder from the 335i is completely new and manages to get up to 300 hp / 5800 rpm, the first unit of its kind that connects at the same time the twin turbo package, the Valvetronic package, High Precision Direct Injection system and 100% aluminum construction.
Equipped with manual transmission, the new 335i Coupe and Convertible go from 0 to 96 km/h (60 mph) in 5.3, respectively 5.5 seconds, automatic transmission adding 0.2 seconds for each of the two variants of bodywork.
Both of engine versions may be accompanied in Coupe version of xDrive all-wheel drive system. Although the package does its job when roads are wet or covered with snow, 328i xDrive Coupe and 335i xDrive Coupe promise to behave identically like rear-wheel drive versions if asphalt is clean and dry.
