BMW Active Hybrid 5 Concept may come to Geneva
BMW plans to reveal the ActiveHybrid version of the new BMW 5-Series at Geneva Motor Show in 2010. At the auto show, BMW seems that want to provide other vehicles also, but the manufacturer has chosen to keep silent about this fact for now, more details about this we may find during the following days.
As we announced you few days ago, 1-Series Coupe ActiveE is scheduled to debut at the Detroit Auto Show next month, but rumors seem like it wants to focus on the fans rather by Swiss Auto Show.
ActiveHybrid Concept 5 will be the first hybrid based on 5-Series, like 7 Hybrid for the 7-Series. It should be noted that BMW will give up the powerful V8 that equips X6 ActiveHybrid and ActiveHybrid 7. BMW 5-Series Hybrid Concept is instead powered by a six cylinder engine generating 218 hp, mated to an electric motor that develops a total output of 40 horsepower.
