525d have under the hood a turbocharged six-cylinder 3.0-liter that develops 204 hp and 450 Nm. Acceleration from 0-100 km/h takes place in 7.2 seconds and top speed is 236 km/h. Consumption announced by the producer rises to 6.2 litres/100 km. The 530d has the same engine as the younger brother 525d, six-cylinder power unit of 3.0 liters but in this case, it’s going up to 245 hp and 540 Nm. Top speed is limited to 250 km/h, while acceleration from 0 to 100 takes place in 6.3 seconds. In chapter’s consumption, the most powerful diesel version boasts by 6.3 litres/100 km. Equipped with optional environmental BluePerformance, 3.0-liter unit on the 530d amounted to Euro 6 pollution standards, which will be available only in 2014.
The 523i is equipped with an aspirated engine with six-cylinder 3.0-liter that develops 204 hp, 270 Nm and goes from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.9 seconds. Top speed is 238 km/h and average consumption amounts to 7.6 litres/100 km. 528i benefits a unit of 3.0 liters, 258 hp and 310 Nm which goes from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.6 seconds and reaches a top speed of 250 km/h, electronically limited. Average consumption announced by BMW is of 7.8/100 km.
535i have a new engine with six-cylinder that benefits a single turbine, unlike the younger brother 335i, which is a twin-turbo by defenition. Unit developed by Bavarian manufacturer reach 306 hp and 400 Nm, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.0 seconds and a top speed of 250 km/h, electronically limited. According to the producing company, 535i version get a mixed average consumption of 8.5 litres/100 km.
550i is the most powerful engine in the new 5-Series range, at least until the launch of the new M5. This version has a 4.4 liter V8 unit that develops 407 hp and 600 Nm. Get from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.0 seconds and manages a top speed electronically limited of 250 km/h. Announced consumption is 10.4 liters/100km.
