BMW presented the Hybrid version of X5 SUV at the 2008 Geneva Motor Show. It’s about a turbodiesel with the latest technologies whose 204 horse power and 400 Nm are supplemented by those 20 horse power and 210 Nm of a generator discharging 172g of CO2/km. Before BMW X5 Hybrid will be released, other models will also have hybrid propulsion will be the 7 Series and X6.
The 2010 BMW X5 Hybrid will use a 2.0 liter four-cylinder diesel. 2010 BMW X5 Hybrid accelerates from 0 to 62 MPH in 8.9 secs, a torque of 1000 nm and a mpg combined of 43.5mp. Some prototypes had been caught and photographed by fans BMW as you can see at the below pictures. This model is equiped with regenerative braking system and a solar panel as you can see from the first picture below.
If this would be the cheapest version of the car and I could afford one, I would buy this version because it would be about to protect the planet or not and I would choose the first variant. I’ll return with more information and prices about the new 2010 BMW X5 Hybrid.
