BMW in 2009 10 Best Engines list
In its 15th year of existence, the list of Ward’s 10 Best Engines is home of two BMWs.
On 2nd and 3rd place we can see the 3.0 liter turbocharged DOHC I-6 from BMW 135i Coupe and the 3.0 liter DOHC I-6 Turbodiesel from 335d. The only engine which was considered to be better was the 2.0 liter TFSI turbocharged DOHC I-4 which is currently mounted on the A4 Avant. However, Audi has only one engine in the list and BMW can be considered the best engine producer overall. The motors were chosen because of their performance and the fuel efficiency which they offer.
The award from ward is a great addition to BMW and it will surely keep up their moral in times like this.
