Unveiling of BMW Alpina D3 Bi-Turbo Coupe

The BMW 3-Series diesel, that is the D3 Bi-Turbo, was revealed by BMW in March, in Sedan and estate form only. The car is now available in Europe, as well as the UK, with a number of 100 units for the UK this year.
Alpina has replaced the diesel from the 3-Series with a smaller and highly tuned engine. The result? A lighter and more sporting engine. Its power rating is 10 hp ( 7kW ) from its stock rating of 204hp (150kW) to 214hp (157kW). Therefore, identical with the sedan and the estate, the BMW Alpina D3 Bi-Turbo Coupe makes its way to 100 km in 6.9 seconds, reaching a maximum speed of 152 mph ( 243 km /h ).
The coupe’s fuel efficiency is improved by scoring 43.8 mpg (US) (5.36L/100km) with a manual transmission. Despite the increased power tuning and size of the 3-series chassis, it’s still 1.4 mpg ( 0.16L/100km ) under the standard 123d. As for CO2 emissions, these are also low, reaching values of 143g/km for the manual and 148g/km for the automatic.
